Verification of emission class of solid fuel boilers

This thesis is focused on verifying of emission class of solid fuel boilers. The boilers are described from principle of combustion process in the beginning. The second part divide and describe solid fuels which are intended to burn in these boilers. The third part deals with requirements of legislation of the Czech Republic and European Union. The last part verifies this requirements on the selected solid fuel boiler.

This bachelor thesis is focused on solid fuel heating of a detached house. The first section describes most common solid fuels, their composition, characteristics and combustion principle. Following section is about solid fuels boilers with their operation description and most common designs and types. In the end economic and user aspects of four selected boilers are described, such as acquisition and operation costs, operation comfort etc. The resulting graph of total costs over fifteen years can be used for general comparison of selected boilers.

Bachelor thesis deals with the ways of heating houses with solid fuels. In the first chapter is visualized preview of solid fuels suitable for application in family houses, properties of solid fuels, their structure and modifiaction to proper form for heating. In the second chapter is preview of solid fuel heating techonologies for family houses, their division, principle of operation, advantages and disadvantages of each technology. In the last chaper is economical assessment and comparison of chosen types of comustion devices aplicated on standard house, integration of devices and their operation costs.

In the first chapter, the individual kinds of solid fuels are described in light of their composition, properties, means of their energetical application and ways of adjusting them to a form proper for combustion. In the second chapter, the individual types of solid fuels boilers are described. The last chapter deals with comparision of several specific boilers in light of their purchase price and operating expenses.
